Nothing on this site tells anybody to open a boiler, and that is the line worth reading first.

In brief

Information and routing. BoilerBridge services nothing, is no part of any agreement you make with a contractor, and nothing published on it instructs anybody to work on a boiler or any other pressure vessel.

BoilerBridge is a referral service, not a contractor. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands. Every state page sets out who licenses plumbers there and where to check, so you can confirm before work begins. We carry out no work, we sell no equipment, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call.

The agreement is between you and the contractor

BoilerBridge introduces people. Whatever gets agreed about a boiler — scope, price, timing, warranty — is agreed between you and an independent business, and we are not a party to it.

So we cannot vary those terms, enforce them, or stand behind the work. We do not set prices and never see them. If a dispute arises it is between you and the contractor, and we have no standing in it.

And we are not an emergency service

If a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, or you smell fuel or exhaust, leave and call 911 from outside. Nothing on this site is an emergency response and we are not available as one.

What the pages about your town are, and are not

The heating figures on our town pages are American Community Survey estimates for a postal area, published by the Census Bureau and carrying their own margins of error. They describe a place. They are not a finding about your house and nothing on this site claims to know what is in your basement.

The efficiency standards and safety guidance come from DOE and CPSC and are reproduced as published. Federal rules are amended; read them at the source if a decision turns on one.

Nothing here is an instruction to work on a combustion appliance

This site contains no procedure for opening, adjusting or relighting a boiler, and none for altering a relief valve. Heating work is separately licensed in most jurisdictions and nothing here should be read as suggesting otherwise.

A boiler is not a furnace, and the person you want knows the difference.Tell us it is a boiler, tell us what the gauge reads if you can see it, and we will route you to somebody in your area who works on them. You are never charged. Boilers give this site its name and not its limits.
